Malaysia: Shares close higher on Monday

MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 24.25 points to 1,576.90.

Volume was 8.731 billion lots worth RM5.074 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 744 to 332.
