[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Monday after weekend data showed China's November factory activity had rebounded for the first time in seven months despite uncertainty over US-China trade talks.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.43 per cent, or 100.91 points, to 23,394.82 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was up 0.41 per cent, or seven points, at 1,706.36.
