Countries can't just wring their hands over nationalism: EDB chair

TOP economic planner Beh Swan Gin has again urged countries to co-operate with one another, even as he thinks that the global tide of nationalism and protectionism is receding.
"The WTO (World Trade Organisation) may be broken right now, but there are other alternative mechanisms that one can create," Dr Beh, chairman of the Economic Development Board, said at a panel on Wednesday as he echoed Singapore's calls for a reform of global trade rules.
