Moonlight Tales
There's more to the Mid-Autumn Festival than just savouring mooncakes. The Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre is holding its Mid-Autumn Yeah!, a multi-sensory festival to celebrate our cultural heritage. Embark on an interplanetary journey to uncover the tales, lore, and the science behind the moon while gazing at it from the Cultural Centre's rooftop or through three themed planetarium shows presented by the Science Centre Singapore. There will also be workshops to teach you how to transform your phones into a virtual-reality viewer for an even closer look at the moon. As part of a mass-escape activity, visitors can be part of The Mooncake Heist to break into the moon vault and lay their hands on the secret recipe of the legendary Divine Mooncake. Complete the night with a selfie with the art installation Where's the Jade Rabbit? by artist Didier Ng.
Mid-Autumn Yeah! Is on Sep 13, 7pm to 10pm and Sep 14, 1pm to 10pm at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, 1 Straits Boulevard. Free admission, but certain activities are chargeable.
