Malaysia: Shares close higher on Friday

MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 16.96 points to 1,612.94.
Volume was 2.2 billion lots worth RM 2 billion.
Gainers outnumbered losers 525 to 315.
