Cafe of Memories
A neighbourhood eatery serves old fashioned root beer floats and sells toys from your childhood.
LONG BEFORE THERE were virtual reality headsets, there were viewfinder toys. ViewMaster was the go-to brand, its reels made from cardboard disks containing small colour photographs on film, inserted into special-format stereoscopes.
For Donovan Goh, 37, looking at those reels through the ViewMaster provided hours of fun. "I still have the one that my late father gave me, and whenever I take it out, it brings back lots of memories."
The former engineer and father of three runs Old Habits Cafe & Boutique with his wife. The couple have been collecting toys and other nostalgic memorabilia for over a decade.
