ChildAid audition draws 180 applications
Successful acts will perform at this year's concert in November to raise funds for two children's charities
Singapore
THE charity concert ChildAid held an audition on Sunday, after shortlisting approximately 100 acts out of 180 applications. The children aged between 6 and 19 vied for a spot in the annual year-end event organised by Singapore Press Holdings newspapers The Business Times and The Straits Times.
Many children came prepared with either two songs to sing or a dance number. Some auditioned for the part of emcee, while a handful focused on unusual specialities such as beatboxing and acrobatic dance. Many displayed maturity and professionalism beyond their years, executing complicated acts with uncommon poise and panache.
