Hard drive for success
Take your time to settle in as a new hire? No such thing for feted IT luminary Neelam Dhawan. Even after an illustrious 36-year career, she remains highly passionate about her next roles in the industry.
SHE has been recognised as one of the most powerful businesswomen - not just in India but worldwide - several times by titles like Fortune and Forbes. Yet there's no slowing down for Neelam Dhawan. She's still highly driven and raring to go.
Even after recounting the milestones of her 36-year career studded with senior executive roles at technology giants including IBM, Microsoft and HP, the information technology (IT) veteran brims with excitement about her plans for the next stage of her career.
Ms Dhawan serves as board advisor to ICICI Bank and Singapore-based technology research and advisory firm Ecosystm, and also sits on the boards of travel agency Yatra Online and Philips Electronics NV. Based in Gurgaon near New Delhi, she was in town on a visit to Ecosystm in November 2018 when The Business Times sat down for a chat with her.
