THE government will start a S$200 million Bicentennial Community Fund to support a spirit of giving back as the Republic marks the Singapore Bicentennial.
Making the announcement on the fund - one of two initiatives introduced to encourage more generous donations - Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat said on Monday that the government would provide a 50 per cent personal income tax rebate, subject to a cap of S$200, for the year of assessment 2019.
