US-China trade war a drag on Hi-P earnings

CONTRACT manufacturer Hi-P International, which has factories in five Chinese cities, is "aggressively fighting for more projects" and seeking new customers amid a trade war between the United States and China.
Fourth-quarter results on Thursday showed net profit down by 24.9 per cent year on year, to S$44.8 million, on the back of a 10.2 per cent fall in revenue, to S$441.9 million.
