FSL Trust files claim against charterer in UK courts

FIRST Ship Lease (FSL) Trust has filed a claim against Copenhagen-based charterer, Torm. A claim form that was submitted to the UK courts seen by The Business Times reveals a claim by the trust in the amount of US$1,892,789 for the latter's breaches of its redelivery obligations as a bareboat charterer.
The claim form said: "On June 20, 2018, the vessel (Torm Margrethe) was redelivered late and at the incorrect port. The condition of the vessel had deteriorated, such deterioration being in excess of normal wear and tear and being the fault and responsibility of the defendant.
