China's November economic data misses expectations

Retail sales grew 8.1%, its slowest monthly pace since May 2003, while industrial output was up just 5.4%

    CHINA'S monthly economic data missed expectations, with growth of retail sales and industrial output slowing on weaker domestic and global demand, while the trade war with the United States drags into a sixth month.

    Retail sales grew 8.1 per cent in November, its slowest monthly pace since May 2003, while industrial output was up 5.4 per cent, also missing its estimate.
