General Motors' China unit recalls 3.3 million cars
[SHANGHAI] SAIC General Motors Corp, the carmaker's Shanghai joint venture, will recall more than 3.3 million Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac vehicles from Oct 20 due to system defects, the State Administration for Market Regulation said in a statement on Saturday.
GM decided to issue the recall during inspections by the regulator for defects after complaints from consumers over a period of time, according to the statement. The vehicles in question were manufactured between Sept 2013 and Sept 2018.
SAIC GM will contact car owners for a recall and arrange free repair services, according to the statement.
