Singapore stocks: STI resumes Wednesday afternoon at 3,266.95, up 0.7%
SINGAPORE stocks resumed trading higher after Wednesday's lunch break, with the Straits Times Index rising 0.7 per cent, or 24.3 points to 3,266.95 as at 1.03pm.
Advancers outnumbered decliners 176 to 115, as some 884.9 million shares worth S$482.4 million in total changed hands.
The most active counter was SinoCloud with 98.7 million units traded, down 50 per cent or 0.1 Singapore cent to 0.1 Singapore cent. Other actives included ThaiBev with 42.3 million shares traded, up 7.46 per cent, or five Singapore cents, to 72 Singapore cents, while Golden Agri-Resources climbed 1.92 per cent, or 0.5 Singapore cent, to 26.5 Singapore cents.
Among active index stocks, Keppel Corp gained 2.7 per cent to S$7.23, while UOB inched up 0.52 per cent to S$26.87.
