Mooncake time has come around again, with the annual deluge of baked and snowskin treats heralding the Mid-Autumn Festival that falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. In Singapore, the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall is set to celebrate one of the most important Chinese festivals with a line-up of activities. Visitors can sample a giant 180cm by 23cm mooncake, made by heritage brand Kwong Cheong Thye. The Memorial Hall's lantern installation, featuring lanterns from across South-east Asia, makes for great photo moments under the stars. Visitors can also take part in workshops - from learning how to make snowskin mooncakes and lanterns as well as tea appreciation. At night, grab a hammock or a picnic mat, sit back and enjoy an evening concert with performances that include dragon dance, traditional lantern dance, live music, and a drama production on the legend of Chang'E.

Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 is on Sept 22 and 23, at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, 12 Tai Gin Road, from 10am to 9.30pm.
