As Singapore Dance Theatre celebrates its 30th anniversary, Ballet Under The Stars returns with a special celebratory edition

BALLET UNDER THE STARS has become such an annual tradition at Fort Canning Green that audience's first brush with Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT) has been that of watching its outdoor park performances, says SDT's artistic director Janek Schergen. So it's a rite of passage that Ballet Under The Stars this year will be conceived as a special one, as the company marks its 30th anniversary.
SDT will present neo-classical works on the first weekend (Aug 31 to Sept 2). The programme comprises George Balanchine's masterpiece, The Four Temperaments, followed by Edwaard Liang's brilliant 13th Heaven. The evening will conclude with Francois Klaus's Midnight Waltzes, a ballet celebrating the grandeur of the theatre.
