Tokyo: Stocks rise for third straight session

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks rose for a third straight session on Tuesday as the yen remained cheaper against the dollar, with worries over a US-China trade war receding.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 0.44 per cent or 100.01 points to close at 22,697.36, while the broader Topix index was up 0.87 per cent or 14.98 points at 1,745.05.
