Pay it Forward
Homegrown start-up Free Good has developed an app for the public to request for as well as give away personal items like books, furniture, electronics or kitchenware. The aim is to foster a community spirit while also reducing wastage.
Users simply list what they need or want to get rid of and a matching engine will link them. A GPS function will also connect those within a community to make transactions easier.
The app's co-founder Yuvi Bhasin says: "Unique features in the app ensure that users get tokens of appreciation when they successfully give things away - ultimately it's all about doing good and feeling good."
