China Medical's chairman dies at 61; board seeking another 'suitable candidate'
CHINA Medical (International) Group on Tuesday said its executive chairman Tai Kok Chuan, 61, passed away on March 6.
Mr Tai had been a director of the company since April 2005. As executive chairman, he oversaw the formulation of policies, growth strategies and the overall management of the group.
"The board and management would like to extend their deepest condolences to the family of Mr Tai Kok Chuan and wish to express their appreciation and gratitude for his guidance and invaluable contributions to the success of the company all these years," it said.
"The board will update shareholders in due course once a suitable candidate has been appointed to oversee the overall management of the company."
The company also requested to lift its trading halt on Wednesday morning.
