Shell waiting to jump into Indonesia small-scale LNG industry
It will act once government puts framework in place, says top company official

While the LNG market has historically been a high-cost, large-scale business, it is becoming increasingly competitive in the small scale space, said Shell Energy executive vice-president Steve Hill on Friday.
In the region, there is potential for such small scale LNG to compete with diesel - traditionally the best energy option in remote areas - in Indonesia and the Philippines. Furthermore, LNG can be "very competitive" against diesel, he said.
