Malaysia: shares close higher on Friday

MALAYSIAN stocks closed higher on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 6.43 points to 1,861.50. Volume was 3.54 billion shares worth RM2.67 billion.
Gainers outnumbered losers by 560 to 430.
