Singapore stocks enter afternoon session lower; STI at 3,582.65, down 0.7% on day
SINGAPORE shares entered the afternoon session 0.7 per cent lower on Thursday, with the Straits Times Index down 26.59 points to 3,582.65 as at 1.03pm on Thursday.
About 1.29 billion shares worth S$742 million in total changed hands as losers outnumbered gainers 237 to 136.
The most actively traded stock was Midas, which rose S$0.008 to S$0.168 with 346.5 million shares changing hands.
Other actives included Jiutian Chemical and QT Vascular.
Active index stocks included DBS, up S$0.33 or 1.23 per cent at S$27.17; and Sembcorp Marine shares trading down S$0.05 or 1.95 per cent at S$2.52.
