IT is business as usual for Singapore-based chip company Global A&T Electronics (Gate), even after the company filed for bankruptcy in New York on Sunday, The Business Times has learnt.
None of Gate's operations or 1,300 employees in Singapore will be impacted by its Chapter 11 filing in the US Bankruptcy Court. There is also no impact to the firm's employees, customers and suppliers globally, according to Roger Ng, Gate's director for investor relations and treasury.
