Tokyo: Stocks open higher as Honda revs up

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Thursday as the yen slipped against the dollar while Honda jumped more than three per cent after it raised its annual profit outlook.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index edged up 0.38 per cent, or 84.84 points, to 22,504.92 in early trade while the broader Topix index was up 0.31 per cent, or 5.54 points, at 1,792.25.
