Increased car sales boost Jardine's Q3 profit

THIRD-quarter net profit at Jardine Cycle & Carriage was boosted by a robust showing in its financial services business, as well as strong car sales.

The conglomerate said higher commodity prices will help lift takings over the rest of the year, but warned of intensifying competition in the car market.
