Dealmaking in Singapore expected to rise by 26% in 2017, peaking in 2019

THREE mega deals with an average value of US$2 billion each have galvanised corporate activity in Singapore for 2017, with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity for the year expected to hit US$23.1 billion - up 26 per cent from 2016's US$18.3 billion, according to a recent report.
The three deals - the acquisitions of InterOil Corp by Exxon, ARA Asset Management by Athena, and Super Group by Sapphire - were collectively worth US$6.2 billion.
