Hong Kong: Stocks fall at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares opened lower on Tuesday, following a retreat in New York as investors prepared for a week heavy on economic news, including major earnings reports and a Federal Reserve policy meeting.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.36 per cent, or 103.14 points, to 28,233.05.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.28 percent, or 9.34 points, to 3,381.00, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.16 per cent, or 3.25 points, to 1,985.23.
