Hong Kong: Stocks kick week off with losses
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares closed sharply lower on Monday, extending losses at the end of last week, as property firms were hit by a tightening of restrictions on sales in several Chinese cities.
The Hang Seng Index slipped 1.36 per cent, or 380.19 points, to 27,500.34.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.33 per cent, or 10.98 points, to 3,341.55. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, dropped 1.24 per cent, or 24.69 points, to 1,963.90. AFP
