[HONG KONG] Shares retreated in the first few minutes of trade Monday, extending losses at the end of last week fuelled by global central bank talk of higher interest rates.
The Hang Seng Index dropped 0.43 per cent, or 109.81 points, to 25,654.77.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was flat, inching down 0.43 points to 3,192.00 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was also barely moved, edging up 0.63 points to 1,898.32.
