Food bonanza
If there was an award for the month with the most number of food festivals, July might just take home gold. For one, the Singapore Food Festival is back, with its 24th edition themed "Savour Singapore in Every Bite". It runs until July 30 and features events like Singapore's firstever Tea Festival, the marquee event STREAT, and even a Kueh Appreciation Day.
Then there is also the Singapore Restaurant Festival (previously known as Singapore Restaurant Month and not to be confused with Singapore Restaurant Week) which will run till the end of September. Participating restaurants will showcase specially-created Singapore-inspired dishes on their menus, such as Joo Bar's Chicken Rice Risotto.
There's even something for industry folks at the Specialty & Fine Food Fair Asia 2017 from July 18 to 20 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. Expect cooking demos, panel discussions, and over 120 exhibitors from around the world.
