DISA warrants look set to be exercised
MOST of our previous columns have focused on new warrants for the simple reason that they offer holders plenty of time to make money before expiry. Time is money after all, and nowhere is this more relevant than in the world of warrants (or any derivative product with limited life spans).
Today's feature, however, is a warrant that expires on Aug 2 and whose last trading day is July 26. With just eight trading days left until it ceases life as a traded instrument, the DISA warrant is the antithesis of the long-dated instruments that have regularly appeared here. So it is that with such a short time left, it warrants a look.
DISA was formerly Equation Summit; it changed its name in February this year. Its warrant carries an exercise price of S$0.007 versus the shares at S$0.015, so it's an "in-the-money" warrant.
