Singapore shares open marginally higher on Friday

SINGAPORE shares gained on Friday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) up 4.15 points, or 0.13 per cent, to 3,177.39 as at 9.03 am. Wall Street ended higher overnight, with the Nasdaq setting a record close, and as the S&P 500 rose for a third straight day.
Top gainers in early morning trade included Keppel Corp, UOB and DBS.
Some 227 million shares worth S$554 million changed hands, with gainers outnumbering losers 93 to 37.
