Malaysian economy up 4.5% in Q4 on domestic demand

MALAYSIA'S macro fundamentals are in better shape now after withstanding challenging conditions in the past two years, analysts said after the economy grew 4.5 per cent in the last quarter of 2016, underpinned by the continued expansion in private sector expenditure.

Growth for the full year moderated to 4.2 per cent from 5 per cent in 2015.
