Keppel DC Reit buys UK data centre for £34m
DATA centre owner Keppel DC Real Estate Investment Trust (Reit) has bought a data centre in the United Kingdom for £34 million (S$59.7 million), its manager said in a Singapore Exchange filing on Thursday.
The data centre in Cardiff, Wales, is fully leased to "one of the largest global cloud service providers" and the 15-year lease started in June 2016, the Reit manager said.
It added the lease has annual rent escalations and that the Reit paid for the acquisition entirely with pound-denominated debt.
Keppel DC Reit units slid a cent to S$1.21 on Thursday before the announcement.
