Hong Kong, Shanghai: Hong Kong closed while Shanghai opens flat

[SHANGHAI] Chinese stocks opened flat on Friday morning, as investors awaited further trading cues, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.10 per cent, or 3.07 points, to 3,081.39.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, dipped 0.06 per cent, or 1.31 points, to 2,059.08.
Hong Kong markets were closed due to Typhoon Haima.
