New manpower and skills development initiatives launched for hotel industry
TWO new initiatives were launched on Friday to help talents in Singapore's hotel industry upgrade their skills.
The Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) for mid-career professional executives will allow them to build careers in sales, project management and administrative field. Some 2,100 vacancies are available across the hotel and various other industries.
The first PCP for professional executives will be rolled out in October this year.
Meanwhile, the Skills Framework for Hotel and Accommodation Services is the first skills framework to be launched under the national SkillsFuture initiative. This will be a guide for individuals, employers and training providers, and serve as a common reference to identify key skills and competencies in new areas.
Both the initiatives were launched by the Workforce Development Agency at Hotel Day on Friday.
