IN-FLIGHT catering provider SATS aims to feed the increasing number of passengers passing through Singapore's Changi Airport by upping its food production capacity by 15 per cent - without the need to add more staff to its payroll.
This is because an S$18 million expansion at SATS's Inflight Catering Centre 2, to be completed by the second quarter of 2017, will feature a new production line that enables mechanisation of up to 50 per cent of some kitchen operations.
