Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks end higher
[HONG KONG] Stocks rose in Hong Kong and Shanghai Thursday following a positive lead from Wall Street, with investors awaiting a key Bank of England policy decision and the release of US jobs data.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.43 per cent, or 93.11 points, to end the day on 21,832.23.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.13 percent, or 3.97 points, to 2,982.43 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.73 per cent, or 14.09 points, to 1,948.91.
