Bombardier loss is wider than estimated on C Series jet costs

BOMBARDIER Inc reported a wider-than-expected second quarter loss amid rising costs for increased production of the new C Series airliner and warned that business-aircraft pricing remains under pressure.
The planemaker swung to an adjusted loss of 6 cents a share, according to a statement on Friday. Analysts had predicted a loss of 5 US cents, according to the average of estimates compiled by Bloomberg. Revenue decreased 6.7 per cent to US$4.31 billion, compared with an average estimate of US$4.18 billion.
