Hong Kong: Shares extend gains at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks extended this week's winning streak on Friday following another record on Wall Street as investors await the release of Chinese economic growth data later in the day.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.13 per cent, or 28.02 points, to 21,589.08.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.09 per cent, or 2.66 points, to 3,056.68, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was flat, nudging up 0.17 points to 2,045.10.
