Hong Kong: Shares open higher

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks opened higher on Monday following another positive lead from Wall Street and Europe and ahead of policy meetings by the US and Japanese central banks this week.

The Hang Seng Index rose 0.49 per cent, or 107.50 points, to 22,071.77.

But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.16 per cent, or 4.73 points, to 3,008.09 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.20 per cent, or 4.02 points, to 2,015.55.
