HDT S'pore Taxi to launch electric fleet in 8-year trial

HDT Singapore Taxi will roll out a fleet of 100 fully-electric taxis in Singapore as part of an e-taxi trial by Q1 of 2017, with the first of the vehicles to hit the road by early September.
HDT Singapore Taxi is a subsidiary of HDT Singapore Holding, which in turn is an associated company of China-based electric car maker BYD. BYD will provide the 100 e6 electric saloon cars.
