Hong Kong shares end up as casino plays surge
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rallied Tuesday thanks to a surge in casino shares, while investors await key central bank meetings in the United States and Japan.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.62 per cent, or 136.29 points, to end at 22,129.73.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index advanced 1.14 per cent, or 34.34 points, to 3,050.17. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rose 1.25 per cent, or 25.15 points, to 2,044.96.
