Firms that bought own shares outperformed market in Feb

Singapore companies that bought back their own shares in February outperformed the general market during the month.
On average, the companies that performed share buybacks in February saw their share prices improve by 2.55 per cent, according to data compiled by The Business Times. That was better than the 1.42 per cent increase in the blue-chip Straits Times Index (STI) and the 2.40 per cent gain in the FTSE ST All-Share Index.
