RM80b estimated to be raised via primary market this year
Securities Commission chairman says RM75b would come from bonds and RM5b from IPOs

MALAYSIA's capital market is expected to raise some RM80 billion (S$27 billion) through the primary market this year with some RM75 billion through bonds and another RM5 billion via initial public offerings (IPOs), following last year's total of RM90 billion.
"This is only an estimate so far and based on our engagements with investment bankers," cautioned chairman of the Securities Commission (SC) Ranjit Ajit Singh at a media briefing in conjunction with the release of the SC's 2015 annual report on Thursday.
