Tokyo: Shares edge down, focus on Yellen speech

[TOKYO] Tokyo shares finished lower on Tuesday, snapping a two-session rally as investors awaited a speech by Federal Reserve boss Janet Yellen later in the day hoping for clues about the bank's interest rate plans.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange fell 0.18 per cent, or 30.84 points, to close at 17,103.53, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares lost 0.31 per cent, or 4.25 points, to 1,377.60.
