Europe: Stock markets rebound at open

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets rallied at the start of trading on Thursday, rebounding from heavy falls the previous session as world equities extend a run of volatility.
London's FTSE 100 benchmark index jumped 1.5 per cent to 5,925.6 points compared with Wednesday's close.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index rose 0.9 per cent to 9,522.7 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 1.2 per cent to 4,276.2.
