Singapore dividend story still intact
Dividends and DPUs expected to continue growing, although in smaller single digits
Singapore
INVESTORS will be relieved that despite challenging economic conditions, Singapore as a dividend play story remains intact. Out of the 53 companies and 21 Reits/business trusts with December year-ends and that pays dividends which have reported results this quarter, 33 have higher 2015 payouts over 2014.
Twenty six are paying lower 2015 dividends while 12 are paying the same as for 2014. There was no comparison for three companies; iFast, for instance, IPO-ed in December 2014.
