INDONESIA's economy expanded less than analysts estimated last quarter on weak household spending and exports, underscoring the challenge for the government as it seeks to build infrastructure and lift business confidence.
Gross domestic product rose 4.73 per cent in the three months through September from a year earlier, the statistics bureau said in Jakarta on Thursday. That compared with 4.67 per cent expansion in the previous quarter, and was less than the median estimate for 4.8 per cent growth in a Bloomberg survey of 23 economists.
