5% decline in Q3 profit for SBS Transit

SBS Transit reported a five per cent drop in net profit to S$5.46 million for the third quarter ended Sept 30.
The bottom line was dragged down by higher operating costs as well as higher finance costs.
Revenue increased 5.4 per cent to S$262.01 million as revenue from both its bus and rail segments were higher.
Earnings per share came to 1.77 Singapore cents, down from 1.86 cents.
